Well, it is September, the final push to the playoffs. The post season rosters are set, as teams are either making that final push, or trying to hold off teams.
In Chicago, we have 1 team that is on the outside of the postseason picture looking in, and another that still has hope, albeit slim hope, of making the post season.
30 games left, the Twins lead the Sox by 4. Twins have the easier schedule from here on out, but it is baseball, anything can happen. September 14-16, the Twins travel to the home of the 2005 World Series Champions for a HUGE 3 game set. Will the division be all but over by that point, or will Manny and the White Sox put one last run together to make that series mean something?

God no!!! I think the Sox are going to just let "Manny be Manny" It is only for 30 games (plus hopefully some in the postseason) and they want Manny to be motivated, and if that means letting him have hair, then so be it.
Also, this is a great marketing opportunity for Brooks and the White Sox. Manny is a huge name, no matter what your feelings are of him. And if you can market him to the Sox fans, September should be a huge month for any gear that is Manny's.

Do you think Manny will be on the White Soxs next year? God no. Manny is the perfect guy for this final month. If he acts like he did in LA, well, he is gone in 30 games, if he is the old Manny, he helps us get to the playoffs, and helps himself with a new deal by some team in free agency.

The thing in LA, was a he said, she said. I personally think Manny was pissed they got Pods to replace him, then kinda of just put Manny on the bench. He acted like Manny, wanted out, but only to the Sox.

He already has. Last night, he was on deck to pinch hit, with AJ up. You know the pitcher see's Manny on deck, and hung a pitch to AJ for a 3 run, game winning bomb. Hopefully that's the effect he has on this team.
He just grounded out to SS in his first AB today...well, this morning lol

11:05 Central/ 12:05 Cleveland Start.
As for next year, who knows lol. One thing is for sure, Kenny Williams has the biggest balls out of any GM in sports. Peavy, Rios, Manny, Edwin...just in the last year. Go farther; AJ, Contreras, Iguchi, etc. He loves to pick up guys who him and his staff think are good, no matter what others thing...and hell, he got the Sox a ring, so he can do that.
As for next year, you have AJ, Vizquel, Konerko, and Manny as FA's on offense. Quentin and Teahen haven't been what they thought they would be. Then you have Pierre, Beckham, Rios, and Alexei who will all be there next year. I think they need to resign Paulie and Vizquel. AJ is iffy. There are not that many FA catchers, but they also have Flowers, who I am not high on, and the Sox aren't either.

When they got him, yes. Now they are less and less in love with him. I wouldn't be surprised if he is dealt this year. He has some pop, but he is hitting like .210 in a hitters park in AAA. That's not good lol

Thats sucks when a team trades for a prospect and they just don't do what they hope he will do and he just becomes that player they traded for that went nowhere!
