Who do you think will be the next manager for the Chicago Cubs?

To early to tell. Does Rickets rebuild? If that is the case, Ryno needs to be the manager. Do they try and take what they have, add some vets, and contend in a wide open NL Central in 2011?
My take is, they should rebuild. It has been what, 102 years since they won? Whats another 3-4 years to try and build a team that can compete year in and year out. Having said that, I would pick Ryno as the Cubs manager. Trade anyone you can in the offseason, for QUALITY, not quantity. If you trade Z, and someone is offering you 3 mid level prospect, and another team is offering you only 1 major prospect, plus money from the Cubs, you take the 1 major prospect.
It will take time, but with the right people, the Cubs can be a force for many years by 2013/2014. Now is Mr. Hendry the right man for that job? I personally don't think so.

Does that give the Cubbies the best option at the helm to go to the playoffs and possibly finally win the World Series?

Personally, rebuilding will. I think this year for Ricketts was a year for him to just see what he has. Now, he will get his manager, and his players. I still think Hendry is holding them back some. They need to go out and get a young aggressive GM. One name, if Hendry is fired that will come up, is Rick Hahn, assistaint GM for the White Sox. That would be a great pickup for you, and a huge loss for the White Sox. It all starts at the top, but if it is done the right way, 2013 could be a good year for the NorthSiders.

Man I hope so! The cubs need to tear down and start fresh. Winning starts with drafting right you have to build from the draft and piece veterans in after that!

Not only that, but lets face it, they are the Cubs. They will always have that cash flow no matter what. They can afford to have a $100 million payroll. So just think, it you have the Castro, Colven, Vitters, and the Asian SS on offense, you will be able to add a stud piece from FA that will cost you $15 mil a year, because those others will be making next to nothing for a few years.

True that! They need to get rid of the bums though 2! They just have to eat Soriano's contract and Ramirez has to go I'm sorry I know he can hit but I think he's a cancer in the Club house!

I think Ramirez is a FA after this year, so that is a plus. Soriano, I don't know who would take that deal. It was such a bad deal when it was given. I love Soriano, think he would make an AWESOME DH for an AL team. Maybe they can trade a bad contract for bad contract? His OPS and double are still high, homers not bad. He would be a nice DH for a team.

They Sox really need a left handed power hitter next year that can DH. But I am sure there are teams out there that would trade for Soriano...if the deal is right.

Yes, or get a player back with just as bad as a contract, that can fill a need. IE Starting pitching.
